Jobless Rate in Castile and Leon Falls to Lowest Level in Over a Decade

The unemployment rate in Castile and Leon has dropped to its lowest level in over a decade, according to data released by the Ministry of Labor and Social Economy. In June, the number of unemployed in the region fell by 4.4 percent, with 4,686 fewer people unemployed than in May.

Nationwide Unemployment Rate Also Falls

The unemployment rate in Spain as a whole also fell in June, dropping by 1.79 percent. This represents a decrease of 46,783 people, bringing the total number of unemployed to 2,561,067. This is the lowest figure since August 2008, and marks a record low for the number of jobs available.

Unemployment Rate in Castile and Leon Lowest in Over a Decade

The unemployment rate in Castile and Leon has fallen to 5.53 percent, a decrease of 5,903 people compared to the same period last year. This represents a drop of 5.53 percent, compared to the 4.75 percent drop seen nationwide.
