On the day of legendary actor Farooq’s death, actor Siddique spoke to the media expressing his desire to become an MP in Dhaka-17 constituency. Although Farooq was ill, Siddiq expressed his interest in contesting the parliamentary elections in the said seat. However, another actor of the film, Manowar Hossain Dipzal, did not take Siddique’s issue well.
Dipzol expressed his opinion on this matter on his YouTube channel on Thursday. Expressing his anger, Dipzal said, since uncle (Farooq) is ill, he (Siddiqur) has started campaigning for MP election. He can elect MP. Anyone can choose. He (Farooq) jumped even before he died. Not only that, he announced that he will hold elections before his body was buried. I was deeply hurt and disheartened by it.
The actor also said that the leader can nominate him if he likes. But there are many people in that seat. Especially the president and general secretary of Awami League. There are also many local influencers.
Dipzal said, mentioning the birthplace of Siddiqur Rahman, go and vote where your country (village) is home. You can get a chance. Gulshan is the heart of Dhaka city. Whoever chooses here should be known by everyone around. You come and announce, choose. It’s not right. But I am also a voter of that constituency. At least he could have taken some time. He could come to an agreement.
Expressing his anger, Dipzal said, he could have given honor to a person. Farooq is not the same person. He is above the king of stars. After 7 days or 40 days after his death, he could have come public with the election. You are not right to jump so much. I think it’s better not to. I am deeply saddened and saddened by this. People make mistakes, but you don’t deserve to make yourself so rich.
