ISRO’s Heaviest Rocket ‘Bahubali’ Launched, Filmmaker Rajamouli Elated

The Indian Space Research Organisation (ISRO) has successfully launched its heaviest communication satellite, CMS-03. The powerful rocket carrying the satellite has been colloquially named ‘Bahubali’. This moniker is a direct reference to its immense weight and strength.

Renowned filmmaker S.S. Rajamouli, director of the blockbuster ‘Baahubali’ films, expressed his profound happiness regarding the rocket’s name. He extended his congratulations to ISRO on the successful launch.

Rajamouli lauded the event as a “proud moment for India.” He emphasized the nation’s technological strength and its growing self-reliance in space exploration. His entire “Baahubali” film team was reportedly elated by the news.

The CMS-03 satellite is poised to significantly enhance phone and television services across India. Its successful deployment highlights India’s advancing capabilities in space technology.

This significant aerospace achievement coincides with the recent re-release of Rajamouli’s cinematic triumph, ‘Baahubali: The Epic’. The combined film, which integrates ‘Baahubali 1’ and ‘Baahubali 2’, returned to theaters on October 31, 2025. It continues to captivate audiences with its spectacular visuals and compelling narrative, featuring a stellar cast that includes Prabhas, Rana Daggubati, Ramya Krishnan, and Anushka Shetty.
