Israeli Military Intercepts Missile from Yemen

After attacks on Israel, new explosions are registered in Iran, Syria and Iraq

People in Tel Aviv and surrounding areas scrambled for shelter as warning sirens blared early Sunday. A missile from Yemen was headed straight for Israel. The military intervened, intercepting it before it crossed the border.

Several areas were on high alert, including the coastal region south of Tel Aviv, the central Sharon area, and parts of the West Bank. Millions had to rush to safety.

The Israeli military said, “After sirens sounded in several parts of Israel, a missile from Yemen was intercepted by air defense before entering Israeli territory.”

Flights in and out of Ben Gurion Airport, near Tel Aviv, were temporarily grounded.

No injuries were reported from the attack, according to MDA, Israel’s emergency response unit.

This attack comes after a two-month ceasefire ended. Israel had launched a series of airstrikes on the Gaza Strip. The Houthi armed group in Yemen is behind the attack on Israel.

Impact and Response

The missile was stopped before it caused harm. But the attack was a stark reminder of ongoing tensions in the region.

  • Tel Aviv and surrounding areas were put on high alert.
  • Millions sought shelter as sirens sounded.
  • Flights were temporarily halted at Ben Gurion Airport.

The situation remains volatile. Tensions between Israel and neighboring countries continue to escalate, with no clear end in sight.
