Israel Gaza Conflict Escalates with 85 More Deaths and Hundreds Injured

War rages on in Gaza for the third day. At least 85 more people are dead. Israel warns of more violence if Hamas doesn’t release its hostages.

Imagine a city under siege. Gaza is that city. Israel’s military campaign has been pounding the area for three days. The latest airstrikes have killed at least 85 people and injured over 130.

This conflict started on Tuesday. Israel says it’s because Hamas, the group that controls Gaza, refused to release Israeli prisoners. Hamas wants Israel to pull its troops out of Gaza as part of a ceasefire deal.

Why the fighting continues

Israel says Hamas is to blame for the renewed violence. The group rejected a proposal to free all prisoners, including a deal brokered by the US and other countries.

Over 590 people have died in Gaza since the fighting began. Israel warns that its attacks will get worse unless Hamas releases its hostages. Israel claims Hamas is still holding 59 people, but only 24 are believed to be alive.

Airstrikes and ground operations

The Israeli military has launched airstrikes and ground operations in Gaza. The goal is to create a buffer zone between the north and south of the Gaza Strip.

Israel’s military spokesperson, Avichay Adraee, says Hamas fired three rockets from southern Gaza into Israel. One was intercepted, and the others landed in open areas, causing no damage or casualties.

The conflict shows no signs of ending. Israel’s warning of increased violence has raised concerns about the humanitarian crisis in Gaza. The situation remains volatile, with both sides refusing to back down.
