Isaac del Toro Secures 11th Season Victory at Giro della Toscana

Mexican cyclist Isaac del Toro just keeps winning. On Wednesday, he completely dominated the Giro della Toscana – Memorial Alfredo Martini race. This victory marked his eleventh win of the season, a truly impressive feat. It also pushed the UAE Emirates team to their 82nd win this year, showing their incredible strength.

Del Toro, who already turned heads by finishing second in the Giro d’Italia, pulled off another solo masterclass. He launched a decisive attack, breaking away from the pack a full 27 kilometers before the finish line. While it wasn’t his longest solo effort – he once rode alone for 33 kilometers at the Clássica Terras do Ebro – it certainly sealed the deal. He crossed the finish line in a swift 4 hours, 25 minutes, and 38 seconds. The challenging course stretched 189.4 kilometers, starting and ending in the town of Pontedera.

This 21-year-old talent is on an absolute roll. His win at the Giro della Toscana came just three days after he also claimed victory at the GP Industria & Artigianato, another race in Italy. That’s his 14th career win, with 11 of those coming in 2025 alone. It’s clear this young rider is having a breakout year.

Behind Del Toro, Australia’s Michael Storer, riding for Tudor, finished in second place. He crossed the line 15 seconds after the winner. Belgium’s Steff Cras from TotalEnergies secured third, clocking the same time as Storer. Portuguese rider Rui Costa, representing EF Education-EasyPost, finished 24th, 2 minutes and 2 seconds behind Del Toro.
