Irani Cup 2023: Madhya Pradesh failed to get Irani Cup, Rest of India defeated by 238 runs

In the 2023 Irani Cup, ‘Rest of India’ captain Mayank Agarwal won the toss and chose to bat first. Here, in the second innings of ‘Rest of India’, Yashasvi Jaiswal (144) scored a century and led his team to 246 runs. In this way, Madhya Pradesh achieved a target of 437 runs to win. Here in the second innings for Madhya Pradesh, Himanshu Mantri (51) and Harsh Gawli (48) struggled a bit but the entire Madhya Pradesh team managed 198 runs on the last day of the match. In this way, the ‘Rest of India’ team won the Irani Cup by defeating Madhya Pradesh by 238 runs.

Yashasvi Jaiswal was named ‘Man of the Match’ for his innings of 213 and 144 runs. In this match, Pulkit Narang took 6 wickets and Mukesh Kumar and Navdeep Saini took 4-4 wickets for ‘Rest of India’. On the other hand, Avesh Khan took a maximum 6 wicket for Madhya Pradesh.
