Imagine holding a slim smartphone that’s almost as thin as a pencil. Apple’s rumored iPhone 17 Air could make that a reality. This new device is expected to be a game-changer, with a unique design that sets it apart from previous iPhone models.
Recently, leaked images of the iPhone 17 Air’s case have surfaced, showing a horizontal camera bump that will house the phone’s single rear camera.

The iPhone 17 Air is rumored to be just 5.5 mm thick, with the camera bump protruding an additional 4 mm. Despite its slim design, the phone will still have a large 6.9-inch LRPO Super Retina display on the front, complete with a Dynamic Island at the top.
One surprise is the presence of a USB-C port at the bottom, despite earlier reports that Apple planned to make the iPhone 17 Air a portless device. The phone’s dimensions are expected to be similar to those of the iPhone 17 Pro Max.
As for the camera, the iPhone 17 Air will have a single sensor, which may raise some eyebrows. However, it’s worth noting that this design choice could be a deliberate move to make the phone even thinner.
