Reconocen a instituciones en el Premio Julio Brache Arzeno

The rich foundation held yesterday the second edition of the Sustainability Award Dr. Julio A. Brache Arzeno to highlight the institutions that through their work contribute to raising the living conditions of the country.

The distinction is intended to recognize non-profit institutions and that through their work they contribute to raising the living conditions of the Dominican Republic.

The recognitions were made by lines: Education, Environment and Health. Awarded in Education to the Salesian Technical Agronomic Institute (Iatesa), in Environment to the National Business Support Network for Environmental Protection (Ecored).

In Health, the Dr. Juan Manuel Taveras Foundation was recognized. Each of these institutions received around RD$1 million.

Around 23 organizations applied, whose winner selection process was based on a series of criteria such as: creativity and innovation, transformative leadership, and the mobilization of technical and financial resources.

Likewise, the proper management of funds, the ability to establish lasting alliances, the participation of the beneficiaries in the projects, the rendering of accounts, the participation of interest groups, and especially, the clarity in the purpose and identification of best practices, all these aspects that guarantee the sustainability of any project or institution.

awardIn the Dr. Julio A. Brache Arzeno Sustainability Award, duly organized Dominican non-profit institutions participate, which have an adequate administrative organization to manage the resources that the award entails.

These must show that they have carried out the sustainable actions they present for a minimum of two years, and show that their results are beneficial to the country or community in which they are carried out.
