Infinix, a Hong Kong-based smartphone brand, is making waves again. Just last July 2025, they rolled out the Hot 60i 4G. That phone came with a MediaTek Helio G81 chip and a 5,160 mAh battery. Now, Infinix has unveiled its successor, the Hot 60i 5G. This new model brings some serious upgrades, including a more powerful MediaTek Dimensity chip and an even bigger battery.
This isn’t just another budget phone. The Infinix Hot 60i 5G packs a punch with the new Dimensity 6400 chipset. MediaTek just introduced this mid-range chip in February 2025. It’s built on a 6-nanometer process, which means it’s efficient. The chip can hit speeds up to 2.5 GHz. It works with 4 GB of RAM and 128 GB of storage. You can even add a MicroSD card for up to 2 TB more space. The phone runs on XOS 15.1 software, which is based on Android 15.
The display is a standout feature for a phone in this price range. It has a 6.75-inch LCD screen with HD+ resolution. It gets fairly bright, up to 670 Nits. The real surprise is its smooth 120 Hz refresh rate. This makes everything on screen look incredibly fluid. The selfie camera sits in a notch at the top of the display. While the previous model had an 8 MP selfie camera, this one drops to 5 MP.
Flipping to the back, you’ll find the main camera. It captures clear photos with a 50-megapixel sensor. There’s also another camera lens, though its exact purpose isn’t specified yet. The battery in the Hot 60i 5G is quite large. It measures 6,000 mAh, which is 840 mAh more than the 4G version. However, the charging speed has been reduced to 18 W, down from 45 W. Good news is, it supports reverse charging at 10 W, letting you power other gadgets.
The Hot 60i 5G isn’t short on extra features either. It includes Infinix AI capabilities. You’ll find an infrared transmitter, which is handy for controlling appliances. There’s a fingerprint sensor built into the side of the phone. Plus, it has an IP64 rating. This means it offers good protection against dust and water splashes from any direction.
The Infinix Hot 60i 5G goes on sale in India very soon. You can grab one starting August 21, 2025. It will be available through Flipkart and Infinix’s own online store. Shoppers can choose from four stylish colors. These include Shadow Blue, Sleek Black, Monsoon Green, and Plum Red. The price tag is just 9,299 Indian Rupees. That’s a truly competitive price for what you get.
