Bhojpuri actor and Member of Parliament Ravi Kishan has reported receiving death threats. The threats came via phone calls to his personal mobile number late Friday night. Kishan has characterized these threats as an attack on his religion and ideology.
The anonymous calls included abusive language and disparaging remarks about his religious beliefs and family. Kishan stated he views the matter with extreme seriousness.
He has filed a police complaint regarding the incident. Kishan believes “anti-Sanatan forces” are behind the threats, aiming to undermine Hindu culture and nationalist thought.

He asserted that threatening an MP and artist is a significant matter, suggesting a powerful group is operating behind the scenes. Kishan declared he is not afraid and that the law will ensure the perpetrators receive severe punishment.
Kishan connected the threats to a political conspiracy linked to the ongoing Bihar assembly elections. He is actively campaigning for the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) in the state. He claimed that opposition parties are resorting to fear tactics as they realize public support is waning.
“We are soldiers of Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s army,” Kishan stated, reaffirming his resolve. He vowed to continue his campaign in Bihar despite being warned of potential harm.
An First Information Report (FIR) has been registered at the Ramgarh Tal Police Station in Gorakhpur. The case has been filed under sections 302, 351(3), and 352 of the Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita (BNS) 2023.
Gorakhpur SP City Abhinav Tyagi confirmed that an investigation is underway to trace the call location. The complaint was filed by Kishan’s personal secretary, Shivam Dwivedi.
Police sources indicate the call was made using a virtual ID, possibly originating from another state. A cyber cell team has been deployed to assist with the investigation.
Kishan reiterated that “anti-Sanatan thinkers” will not silence him. He proclaimed his commitment to defending religion and the nation. His supporters in Gorakhpur have protested, demanding swift action from authorities. Local BJP workers echoed Kishan’s sentiment, calling the attack an assault on Hindu beliefs and culture. Police have assured that an arrest will be made soon.
