Country Star Arifin Shubo to Act in Indian Series Again
Actor Arifin Shubo, known for his performances in Bangladeshi films, is set to star in an upcoming Indian series. The series, to be produced by Soumik Sen, will also feature Tollywood actress Souraseni Maitra alongside Shubo.
Series Not Yet Finalized
Although Shubo has been finalized for the role, the name of the series has not been disclosed yet. Shubo has earlier worked on two web content projects in India, including the web movie "19 April" and the series "Lahu".
Soumik Sen’s Previous Work
Soumik Sen’s last project was the popular Hindi series "Jubilee", which was released last year. He co-wrote the screenplay with Vikramaditya Motwan and the setting was the Mumbai city of the late forties and the early days of Bollywood.
Bangladesh’s Liberation War to Be Featured
According to Anandabazar, the series will be based on the story of Bangladesh’s great liberation war. It is not known who will play other roles in the series, as the producer, Soumik Sen, is not willing to reveal details before the official announcement.
Arifin Shubo’s Upcoming Projects
Shubo has two upcoming movies, "Neelchakra" directed by Mithu Khan and "Noor" directed by Raihan Rafi, awaiting release in the country.
Shooting to Begin Soon
Arpita Chatterjee will be producing the series, and sources suggest that the shooting will start soon. Further details about the series are expected to be revealed in the coming days.
