South Africa defeated the Indian team by 8 wickets in the second ODI. Team India had won the first ODI wonderfully and lost the second game in equally poor form. Tony de Georgi played an innings of 119* runs for Africa and led the team to a one-sided victory. South Africa first performed miracles in their bowling, then showed strength in their batting and won the game one-sidedly. With this win, Africa leveled the series at 1-1.

Team India finished first with 211 runs in 46.2 overs. South Africa then set about chasing the target and achieved the target by losing 8 wickets in 42.3 overs. Apart from Tony, Reeza Hendricks played an innings of 52 runs for Africa. There was a 130-run partnership for the first wicket between Tony and Hendricks.

Thereafter, Rassie van der Dussen, batting at number three, played an innings of 36 runs with the help of five fours and along with Tony De Georgi formed a partnership of 76 runs (83 balls) for the second wicket. Rinku Singh took the second wicket for India in the 42nd over, moments before victory.

Nandre Berger took a maximum of 3 wickets for Africa. During this time he scored just 30 runs in 10 overs. Apart from this, Keshav Maharaj and Berun Hendricks took 2-2 wickets. While Lizard Williams and captain Aidan Markram achieved a 1-1 win.
