The Indian team for the Champions Trophy 2025 has been officially announced. The tournament, which features a total of 8 participating teams, will see seven teams with their squads already revealed. However, the team from the host country, Pakistan, has yet to be announced.
The International Cricket Council (ICC) initially required all participating teams to announce their squads by January 12. However, teams may still make adjustments to their lineups until February 12, just a week before the tournament’s commencement on February 19.
The Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) Chief Selector, Ajit Agarkar, unveiled the 15-player squad on January 18 in the presence of captain Rohit Sharma. The selected players will represent India in this prestigious ICC tournament.
The team’s current lineup is strong, but concerns regarding the fitness of players like Jasprit Bumrah and Mohammed Shami remain. If any of the selected players suffer injuries, other players like Mohammed Siraj and Sanju Samson may have the opportunity to join the team.
