Let’s get inside the Nintendo Switch 2. What’s in there? And can you fix it if something goes wrong?
The YouTube channel iFixit, known for tearing down gadgets, posted a video called “Switch 2 Teardown: Joy-Cons Still Need Work, If You Catch Our Drift.” The team takes apart the Nintendo Switch 2, piece by piece.
Here’s the thing: iFixit says fixing the Switch 2 yourself is super tough. You can’t easily buy replacement parts, and key components like the charging port, main memory, and card reader are glued to the board. Swapping them out is a real challenge.
What’s inside?
The Switch 2 has some tricky parts. The USB-C charging port is a problem. If it breaks, replacing it is hard because it’s glued in. And if you force it, you might damage the port.
Battery woes
Replacing the battery is also tough. The console uses strong glue to keep it in place. Without the right tools, you might damage the device.
So, if you’re planning to buy a Nintendo Switch 2, take good care of it. Fixing it yourself might not be the best option.
The Nintendo Switch 2 hits stores on June 26.
