Ibrahim Ali Khan’s first acting venture, ‘Nadaaniyan’, hit Netflix India last month, but it’s been getting scathing reviews. When a Pakistani journalist sent him a harsh comment, Ibrahim shot back with a fiery response. The journalist had even suggested Ibrahim’s nose job was a disaster.
Losing his cool
Ibrahim recently defended his actions, admitting he was wrong to lash out. “I know I shouldn’t have reacted, but I’m new to all this,” he said. “When someone makes a personal comment about my body, it feels like an insult.” He promised to be more composed in the future.
Ibrahim told Filmfare he’s working on managing his temper. “I’m a chill guy, just messing around,” he said. “I get angry quickly, but I’m working on it. It’s not like I suddenly lose my cool, but if I’m having a bad day, it might happen.”
A fiery message
The trouble started when Ibrahim messaged the Pakistani journalist, calling them “ugly trash” and making some pretty harsh threats. The journalist, Tamoor, shared the message on Instagram, saying, “Hahahahaha, this is the guy I want to see on screen.” Tamoor also said the comment about Ibrahim’s nose job was in bad taste, but he understood why Ibrahim reacted.
A new face in Bollywood
Ibrahim is the son of Saif Ali Khan and Amrita Singh, and the younger brother of Sara Ali Khan. After working as an assistant director on Karan Johar’s ‘Rocky Aur Rani Kii Prem Kahani’, Ibrahim made his acting debut with ‘Nadaaniyan’, directed by Shauna Gowtham.
Ibrahim’s first film to be shot was ‘Sarzemin’, directed by Kayoze Irani and starring Kajol and Prithviraj Sukumaran. Both ‘Nadaaniyan’ and ‘Sarzemin’ are produced by Dharma Productions, Karan Johar’s banner. Karan announced Ibrahim’s launch on Instagram, saying, “I’m excited to see this new talent shine.”
