Ian McKellen Hospitalized After Stage Fall in London

Ian McKellen, the renowned British actor, was hospitalized after falling from a stage in London. The incident occurred during a performance of “Player Kings” at the Noël Coward Theatre.

According to reports, McKellen, who is 85 years old, was participating in a battle scene between the Prince of Wales and Henry Percy when he suddenly lost his balance and fell to the front of the stage. The actor reportedly screamed in pain when the house lights turned on.

An attendee told the BBC that the fall was “very shocking.” McKellen was conscious after the incident and asked for help from the construction staff who quickly came to his rescue.

There are no details on McKellen’s health condition at this time. The theatre has cancelled scheduled performances. McKellen has had a long and illustrious career, known for his iconic roles in films such as “The Lord of the Rings” and “X-Men”.
