Bollywood actress Kareena Kapoor Khan voices the character Black Widow in the upcoming series The Wastelanders on Audible. The character is played by Scarlett Johansson in Marvel Movies. Now that she has voiced a character known for her action sequences, Kareena is now thinking about playing an action role herself.
“We grew up watching action-packed Bollywood movies, but there were few women playing those roles. But I think this is the time when people are open to exploring actresses playing different kinds of roles, including action roles.”
“Although I have yet to explore this genre in a feature film, I would love to play a spy or assassin on the big screen. I think it’s about time you tried the action. I think I’ll make it. I see playing Black Widow as a start in the right direction. I look forward.”
Kareena is currently working on Sujoy Ghosh’s adaptation of the Japanese novel The Devotion Of Suspect X. She is also working on the film The Crew, co-starring Tabu and Kriti Sanon, and a murder mystery directed by Hansal Mehta.
