Hrithik Roshan Joins Bollywood Stars in Legal Fight for Personality Rights

Bollywood actor Hrithik Roshan has filed a lawsuit with the Delhi High Court to safeguard his personality rights. The actor seeks protection against the unauthorized commercial exploitation of his name, identity, voice, and overall personality. His petition specifically targets the misuse of his public image online and in advertisements.

Roshan is asking the court to issue orders preventing such misuse. The case highlights a growing concern among public figures regarding the control over their digital and commercial presence.

The Delhi High Court is scheduled to hear the matter on Wednesday before Justice Manmeet Pritam Arora. The lawsuit names several known and unknown parties allegedly involved in the unauthorized use of the actor’s distinct attributes for commercial gain.

This move follows similar legal actions taken by other prominent Indian celebrities. Last month, Aishwarya Rai Bachchan and Abhishek Bachchan secured protection orders from the Delhi High Court against the unauthorized online use of their names, images, and voices.

Additionally, singer Kumar Sanu recently petitioned the Delhi High Court, arguing that the creation of artificial intelligence-generated fakes of his artistic work constitutes a violation of his rights. Actor Suniel Shetty also previously approached the Bombay High Court for similar personality rights protection.
