How to search for the first post of a user on Facebook, Instagram, Twitter, WhatsApp and Telegram

Social networks are full of numerous posts and sometimes eIt’s complicated to get to the first post of a user in one or several of them, from Instagram to Facebook, Twitter, WhatsApp or Telegram.

This exercise in ‘social archeology’ can be useful for a user to remember what they posted for the first time on each of their networks, in addition to knowing the first post of someone they follow or aspire to follow.

How to access a user’s first post on social media varies and sometimes there are different ways to proceed depending on whether the platform is being used from its desktop version or from a mobile phone, and the user’s predisposition when using a third-party program.

In the case of Instagram, there are two options: the desktop version or the smartphone version. If you have the social network open in your computer browser, you simply have to ‘scroll’ down until you find the first publication and, once done, open it and save it by clicking on the icon that appears to the right of the ‘Like’ , the option to post a comment and the option to share the post.

The user will thus be able to access the publication in question from the ‘Saved’ section within their profile. If the ‘scroll’ is discarded, there is a google chrome extension available called SocialScroll which triggers a ‘scroll’ automatic that advances progressively until reaching the end of a user’s ‘feed’.

For those who are using Instagram on their phone, the ‘scroll’ alternative may be more annoying as it takes more time on a mobile device. In this case, there is the option of installing a program like FindFirstPost, the tool that allows you to find both the first, second and third posts of a profile and, in addition, those publications with the most ‘likes’.

Twitter

The act of searching for the first tweet of a user can be an even more tedious and complicated task due to the potential greater number of publications compared to Instagram.

To find the first tweet of an account, you simply have to use Twitter’s advanced search engine in its desktop versionwhich is accessed by pressing on the three horizontal points located to the right of the search bar (once the results of the search made are displayed).

Once there, the profile in question is written in the ‘Accounts’ section preceded by the at symbol. Subsequently, the search is limited in time within the ‘Dates’ section. There it is convenient to know in advance when said account joined Twitter, information available on the main page of any profile along with the location just below your biography.

Once done, click on the search button and then, click on the ‘Most recent’ section to ‘scroll’ down and locate the first tweet of the account from its registration in the social network.

Facebook

To locate the first post of a Facebook user Click on the ‘Settings and privacy’ section that appears when you click on the downward arrow located at the top right of the screen.

Subsequently, you must enter ‘Activity log’, then ‘Your publications’ and, finally, set the date filter to navigate through the different months and years until you find the first publication on the social network.

WhatsApp

Without being a typical social network, the WhatsApp instant messaging network is one of the most used applications on a daily basis by its millions of users around the world. Some of them wonder how to access the first message of a conversation without having to scroll. There are three ways.

On the one hand, use an automatic scrolling ‘app’ like Easy Scroll, available in both the Play Store and the App Store. Its operation is similar to that already described above and the only thing the user has to do is sit down and wait.

Another way is to write part of the first message or from the first messages published in a conversation within the WhatsApp search bar. However, not all of its users remember these first words.

The last way is more of a preventive measure, since it consists of marking the first message of a conversation as ‘Starred’ by pressing on it and clicking on the option that appears next to a star. From that moment on, the user will be able to access the highlighted messages from the ‘Settings’ section.

Telegram

In the case of Telegram, another of the most popular instant messaging ‘apps’ in the world, the process to search for a message is even simpler than in WhatsApp.

To do so, the user simply you must enter the profile of the person in whose chat you want to search and select the ‘Search’ option that appears under the magnifying glass icon. Next, the possibility is offered both of searching by specific words (in case you remember the ones from the first message that was sent) or by days, for which you must click on the calendar icon that appears at the bottom left. In addition, the photos sent in the conversation associated with each of the days will be displayed here.
