The collection figures of this Aamir Khan film are higher than that of Shah Rukh Khan’s film Jawan. Jawan 1163 has become the second highest grossing film. According to these numbers, Aamir Khan’s Dangal film costs 41% less than Jawan.

This film is definitely about the Phogat sisters, but in this film and in real life, Mahavir Singh Phogat is the real hero of this picture. His role is played by Aamir Khan in the film. According to the Hindustan Times report, Mahavir Phogat, Geeta Phogat and Babita Phogat received only Rs 80 lakh for the green release of the film.
