House of the Dragon Links Story to Game of Thrones with Daenerys Targaryen Reference
The recent episode of "House of the Dragon" has left viewers with mixed feelings, particularly in relation to the war between the blacks and the greens that has not yet begun. The episode saw Queen Rhaenyra Targaryen preparing for war and calling on Rhaena to take her sons, Joffrey, Aegon, and Viserys, to Pentos to protect them from the consequences of war.
Daenerys’ role, on the other hand, was that of helping to hatch dragon eggs and battling the White Walkers, thus fulfilling (with some slight changes) the prophecy of Aegon Targaryen, which the Khaleesi apparently did not know about. Rhaegar, her brother, even mentioned that he was the promised prince, destined to occupy the throne that belonged to his father, Aerys II Targaryen, also known as the Mad King.
The theory is that Rhaegar must have known this secret because his father, as the heir to the throne, must have told him. However, if that were the case, and unlike Rhaenyra, who has now learned of her father’s mistake, he would have had an ambition to come to power only for that and not to save the world of men.
Khaleesi’s Prophecy
