Honor’s upcoming Power 2 smartphone has received certification confirming an unprecedented 10,000 mAh battery, setting a new benchmark for mid-range device endurance.
The device recently passed China’s 3C (China Compulsory Certification) process. This certification officially lists the battery capacity at 9,886 mAh, with a power output of 37.37 Wh.
Upon its official release, the battery will be marketed at the 10,000 mAh level. This positions the Honor Power 2 as the brand’s first mid-range smartphone to feature such a massive power unit.
The original Honor Power, launched in April 2025, already stood out with an 8,000 mAh battery, offering 29.60 Wh of power. That model was powered by a Qualcomm Snapdragon 7 Gen 3 chip.
Its substantial 8,000 mAh capacity was noted as comparable to the 7,606 mAh battery found in the 2025 11-inch iPad Air.
Industry tipster “Digital Chat Station” posted on Weibo, a major Chinese social media platform, revealing Honor’s plans to release three models in the Power 2 series.
The standard Honor Power 2 model is expected to utilize MediaTek’s latest mid-range Dimensity 8500 chipset. This 4-nanometer chip, manufactured by TSMC, features an 8-core CPU with a maximum speed of 3.25 GHz.
The other two variants are reportedly equipped with Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 7s Gen 4 and Snapdragon 7 Gen 4 chipsets, offering maximum processing speeds of 2.70 GHz and 2.80 GHz, respectively. It remains unconfirmed if these additional models will also feature the 10,000 mAh battery.
Further reports suggest the Honor Power 2 will include a 6.79-inch 1.5K LPTS OLED display. The series is anticipated to be officially unveiled in the first half of 2026.
