Honor Launches Mid-Range 400 Smart 5G in Europe with 6500mAh Battery

Honor, a brand that separated from Huawei in 2020 to truly compete worldwide, has been busy. They launched their mid-range 400 series phones – the standard 400, 400 Pro, and 400 Lite – in the second quarter of 2025, between April and May. Now, they are bringing an exciting new addition to this series, the 400 Smart 5G, to the European market. It first appeared in Spain, and we expect it to roll out to more European countries very soon.

What really stands out about the Honor 400 Smart 5G is its huge battery. It packs a massive 6,500 mAh battery, which is enough power to easily last you all day long. When you do need to charge up, it supports fast 35W charging. All this power is packed into a sleek body that is just 8.39 mm thin and weighs only 189 grams.

The phone sports a 6.77-inch LCD screen. It might have a 720 x 1,610 pixel resolution, but it makes up for it with a super smooth 120 Hz refresh rate. This means everything on screen, like scrolling or gaming, looks incredibly fluid. The display also gets quite bright, reaching 700 Nit, so it’s easy to see.

Under the hood, the Honor 400 Smart 5G uses the Snapdragon 6s Gen 3 chip. Qualcomm first introduced this mid-range processor in 2024. It’s built on a 6 nanometer process and can reach speeds of up to 2.3 GHz. This power is paired with 4 GB of RAM and 128 GB of storage. The phone runs on Android 15, with Honor’s own Magic UI 9.0 on top. This setup helps the phone handle both work tasks and games quite well.

For taking pictures, the phone comes with a 50-megapixel main camera that has an f/1.8 aperture. There’s also a 2-megapixel depth sensor to help with portrait shots. For selfies and video calls, you’ll find a 5-megapixel camera on the front.

Looking at its features, the Honor 400 Smart 5G seems like the most affordable option in the 400 series. However, it gets a big boost with the largest battery in the entire lineup. This makes it a compelling choice for users who prioritize long battery life above all else.

Here’s a quick look at how the 400 Smart 5G compares to its siblings in the series:

  • Honor 400 (standard model): Features a Snapdragon 7 Gen 3 chip (2.63 GHz), with 8 GB or 12 GB of RAM, and a 5,300 mAh battery.
  • Honor 400 Pro: Powered by a Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 chip (3.0 GHz), it comes with 12 GB of RAM, and also has a 5,300 mAh battery.
  • Honor 400 Lite: Runs on a Dimensity 7025 chip (2.5 GHz), offers 8 GB or 12 GB of RAM, and includes a 5,230 mAh battery.
