Hjulmand, Froholdt Return to Denmark Squad for World Cup 2026 Qualifiers

Hjulmand and Froholdt called up for Denmark's games with Belarus and Greece

The call came, and Morten Hjulmand and Victor Froholdt answered. Both talented midfielders, Hjulmand plays for Sporting and Froholdt represents FC Porto. Denmark’s coach, Brian Riemer, selected them for the national squad again. They are part of a 24-player roster. These players will compete in two upcoming World Cup 2026 qualifying matches.

The first game for Denmark is set for October 9. They will face Belarus in a match held in Hungary. Three days later, on October 12, the team heads back home. They are scheduled to play Greece in Copenhagen. These fixtures are crucial for their World Cup hopes.

Meanwhile, other players from top clubs are also getting international calls. Stephen Eustáquio, another midfielder from FC Porto, received his national team summons. He will join the Canadian national team for their upcoming matches.

Canada’s first game is on October 11. They will play against Australia in Montreal. Later, on October 15, Eustáquio and his teammates have another challenge. They are set to compete against Colombia in Toronto.
