Hijab ban in educational institutions in India, what decision will the Supreme Court pronounce?

Karnataka: The Supreme Court will pronounce its decision today in the case of banning hijab in educational institutions in the Indian state.

According to the details, the Supreme Court will pronounce its decision today on the ban on hijab in educational institutions due to the dress code in Karnataka.

Several petitions were filed challenging the Karnataka government’s order banning the hijab, an order banning the wearing of hijab inside classrooms in universities, colleges and schools.

On September 22, Justices Hemant Gupta and Sidhanshu Dhulia reserved their judgment after hearing arguments from the state government, teachers and counsel representing the petitioners.

It may be noted that the hijab controversy in Karnataka intensified in January this year when the state-run PU college allegedly barred 6 female students wearing hijab from sitting in the classroom.
