The Indios de San Francisco de Macorís achieved their first streak of two consecutive wins by defeating the Cañeros del Este 107-88 in a match of the National Basketball League (LNB) held this Wednesday at the Pabellón Mario Ortega here.

The Indians put their record at 5-5 and won for the third time in a row as homeowners, while the Cañeros (3-7), have lost two of their last matches in the Mario Ortega roof.

The particular series, which was 1-1, was won by the Indios by point difference, since the Cañeros triumphed 93-88 in the first match held at the Leo Tavárez Sports Center in Higüey.

Adonis Henriquez led the Indians’ attack, which had six players in double figures in points. Henriquez finished with 20 points, nine assists and four rebounds, while shooting 6-for-11 from 3-point range.
