The national treasurer, Luis Rafael Delgado Sánchez, announced yesterday the delivery of the paschal gift or salary 13 as of next Monday, December 5.
At a press conference, The official announced that the Government will pay about RD$25,000 milliondivided into RD$16,500.5 million to the servers of the Central Government, as well as RD$5,596.9 million to those of the decentralized or autonomous institutions.
Delgado Sánchez explained that will distribute US$1.6 millionwhich is equivalent to RD$88.4 million for the payment of the royalty to public employees who provide services abroad.
Also RD$1,755.9 million of current transfers to pay the Easter royalty and RD$1,392 million to the institutions that belong to the Constitutional Powersfor a total of RD$25,333.5 million that the Government allocates to pay the double salary of all public servants.
The treasurer pointed out that since Christmas begins, there is a great movement of economic resources, so It is expected that the National Police and the Armed Forces will reinforce security measures to protect the citizenry.
“Christmas is much more than Black Friday through the streets, shopping malls and shops full (…) everything is full since the announcement of the 13th salary that corresponds by law, the so-called Easter royalty,” argued the official after responding to concerns from the press on this matter.

The first to receive this payment will be pensioners, members of the Armed Forces and the National Police.
Said the delivery of these resources is intended so that the families of public servants can plan their economic budgets with sufficient time for this Christmas.
The indicated amounts do not include the municipalities because they have their own budgets.
Delgado Sanchez, suggested that public institutions upload their payrolls early to the electronic payment system to expedite delivery of salary 13 to public servants.
