Ghostbusters Afterlife: Very encouraging first returns

Yes Ghostbusters Afterlife, which took over from the Herculean catastrophe of 2016 with the women’s reboot, has been delayed for a long time, it should finally arrive in our theaters for the November 19 next. Some lucky fans had the opportunity to experience the film during an official screening at the New-York Comic-Con of this weekend. Ghostbusters: Afterlife understand in its central casting Carrie Coon, Finn Wolfhard, Mckenna Grace, Paul Rudd, Bokeem Woodbine, Celeste O’Connor and Logan Kim. He’s been just as expected from the start of filming as the original members of the Ghostbusters will come back (we are talking about Sigourney Weaver, Bill Murray, Ernie Hudson and Dan Aykroyd in particular).

The story will feature a single mother and her two children, who arrive in a small town where they learn about the legacy of their grandfather, who turns out to be an original member of the team. Ghostbusters. So far the film of Jason reitman registers 86% positive opinions on the review aggregator Rotten Tomatoes and the first returns also seem very good. Selected pieces !

GHOSTBUSTERS AFTERLIFE makes it clear that nostalgia can be exactly what a franchise needs and that I never eat marshmallows again. McKenna Grace and Logan Kim steal the show. Paul Rudd didn’t have to be that sexy. Go out in the cold and stay until the VERY end of the credits.

I really liked #Ghostbusters: Afterlife. Lots of nods to the past but, more importantly, a fun and sometimes scary adventure film with lots of laughs and hearts for all ages.

If I saw this movie as a kid, I would be freaking out.

I’m not exaggerating when I say #GhostbustersAfterlife is all I wanted from a sequel – a perfect love letter to Ghostbusters fans that acts as a loving tribute to the original while also forging its own exciting path for the next generation.

#GhostbustersAfterlife somehow manages to thread the needle by being a movie that will work for people who know “Ghostbusters” and those who haven’t seen the movies before. The whole cast is awesome but @MckennaGraceful steals the movie. Avoid spoilers. Good work.
