AVM is releasing a new update for various Fritzbox models, bringing improvements to the devices. The update, version 8.02 of FritzOS, is now available for ten different router models.

Update Features

The update brings several improvements, including a graphical representation of the Fritzbox connection status on the homepage and a new online monitor that provides information on device utilization.

Additionally, mesh devices will receive a new overview, and it will be possible to transmit data via Wireguard VPN tunnel. Specific improvements for most Fritzbox models can be found on the AVM website.

Installing the Update

To receive the update, users can either activate the “Auto-Update” option on their Fritzbox to automatically receive the new functions or search for updates on their router and install version 8.02 manually.
