In the early hours of this Monday, April 11, he presented a strong traffic accident between a truck and a feeder bus of the Western Integrated Mass Transportation System (Mio) on Calle 5 with Carrera 34 in the city of Cali, near the Pascual Guerrero stadium. Four people were moving in the private vehicle, among them, former soccer player Freddy Rincónwho is under reserved prognosis.

The injured were transferred to a health center and the Imbanaco Clinic, where Rincón is treated, published a statement confirming that the former player underwent surgery: “After the evaluations carried out, the team of specialists in charge of the patient has made the decision to perform a surgical procedure”.

Rincón, with severe head trauma

“With prior authorization from the relatives, you want to inform that Freddy Eusebio Rincón was admitted this morning as a victim of severe head trauma. His conditions are very critical, due to an interdisciplinary decision of our entire team, he was taken to the operating room area where he will go to the intensive care area. All the pertinent care will be applied and our entire team of specialists will be deploying everything necessary. The situation is critical”, reported Laureano Quintero, medical chief of this hospital center.

The front of the Mio feeder bus, that ended up colliding with the column of a building, was totally destroyed, while the truck had its greatest impact on the right side and ended up on the platform against a traffic signal.

A legend of Colombian football
