Justice Arun Mishra’s Notable Achievements

Justice Arun Mishra, the newly appointed Ombudsman and ethics officer of the Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI), has an impressive career spanning several decades. Born into a family of lawyers in Gwalior, Justice Mishra went on to achieve numerous milestones in the field of law. Some of his notable achievements include being elected to the Madhya Pradesh Bar Council with a record number of votes in 1989 and 1995, and becoming the youngest Chairman of the Bar Council of India in 1998.

Diverse Experience in the Judiciary

Throughout his illustrious career, Justice Mishra has held various positions in the judiciary. He has served as a judge in the Madhya Pradesh High Court, Chief Justice of the Rajasthan High Court in 2010, and Chief Justice of the Calcutta High Court. His extensive experience in the judiciary has equipped him with the necessary skills and expertise to handle the responsibilities of an Ombudsman and ethics officer.

New Appointments in BCCI: A Series of Changes

The appointment of Justice Arun Mishra as the Ombudsman and ethics officer is the latest in a series of changes within the BCCI. The board recently saw the appointment of new Secretary Devjit Saikia and Treasurer Prabhtej Singh Bhatia.
