Ferrari Unveils Mysterious New Model for Famous Owner Hamilton

Ferrari, a renowned Italian luxury sports car manufacturer, has recently unveiled details about its upcoming car for the Formula 1 season. The company, known for its dedication to the sport, has a long history of creating high-performance vehicles. Ferrari’s management team, led by their sports division, takes great care in naming their cars and ensuring each one has a unique meaning.

The Naming Convention

The new car, named SF-25, follows the same naming scheme as the previous two models. This scheme has only been changed twice in the 2020s, with the SF1000 in 2020, commemorating the team’s 1,000 major awards, and the F1-75 in 2022, which honored the 75th anniversary of Ferrari’s car production. The SF1000 was a notable car, although it did not perform as well as expected, finishing sixth in the constructors’ championship.

Sponsorship and Team Changes

This season will also mark the second year that Ferrari will have ‘HP’ as a sponsor in the team’s name. The Italian brand signed a sponsorship deal worth around 100 million euros per year, starting from the 2024 season. This partnership is significant, as it comes after the gradual disappearance of long-time sponsors, including those associated with the Philipp Morris group.

The First Season for Hamilton

The SF-25 will be Ferrari’s first car with the highly anticipated driver pair, Charles Leclerc and Lewis Hamilton. They are expected to be strong contenders, and their chassis has already passed the mandatory crash test in December. The team is currently undergoing preparation and training sessions, including those planned with old cars in Fiorano and Barcelona, as well as tests with the SF-24 to evaluate Pirelli’s 2026 tires.

Hamilton, who is under intense scrutiny, experienced a minor setback during the preparation phase. He was involved in a slight accident in the last sector of the Montmeló circuit when he pushed the car too hard, according to F1 reports. The goal for the team is to ensure the new SF-25 is ready for success. Only time will tell if Ferrari’s new ‘Challenger’ will leave a lasting impression on fans and make its mark in the racing world.
