Ferrari Unveils Impressive SF-25 Formula 1 Car with Refinements

Ferrari has just unveiled its newest car, the SF-25, in a rather unusual manner. While the F1 community was celebrating its 75th anniversary at the O2 in London, Ferrari decided to reveal its new car through social media, away from the spotlight. This move is quite strange, especially since other teams were showcasing their decorated cars at the event. Fred Vasseur, Lewis Hamilton, and Charles Leclerc were all in attendance, and it’s worth noting that Leclerc will be testing the new car at Fiorano on Wednesday.

The fact remains that Ferrari has a new car, and it’s aiming to win – something the team hasn’t achieved in the last 18 years, since Kimi Raikkonen’s title win.

As the new Ferrari hits the scene, it’s clear that refinement and aggressiveness are at the forefront of its design. At first glance, the car stands out for its refined pontoons, which have been inverted like those used since summer 2024, but with superior minimum entries and a beastly lower channel. This area was one where McLaren found significant progress last year.

The frontal view of the Ferrari SF-25 showcases the change from ‘Push-Rod’ suspension to ‘Pull-Rod’ suspension, which offers a lower center of gravity due to the shock absorbers being located at the bottom of the cone. Additionally, the cuts or slots that fall from the air inlets of the radiators to the ground are noticeable, providing necessary cooling to the narrow and lying radiators housed inside. This inventive design, first introduced by the ‘Newey Factory’ in 2024, seems to be spreading to all teams with aspirations, including Williams, and likely Aston Martin as well.

Decoration with whiter and HP blue

The new Ferrari’s decoration has caught attention, particularly the presence of ailerons and an engine cover with a lot of white, making the HP logo more prominent. While some may dislike this design choice, it’s essential to remember that once the tests are over, the car will seem familiar to fans, just like its predecessors. Even Fernando Alonso’s first Ferrari in 2010 had a similar white design.
