Bollywood movies can’t show anything special at the box office these days. The story of the movies is not able to impress the audience. Which is why, big or small budget, no movie is capable of doing a special business at the box office. Now the days have come when Bollywood gears up as all industries are doing well except for Hindi. On this, Bollywood actor Farhan Akhtar has given his opinion. Farhan was seen in the recently released series Miss Marvel. Farhan has been much loved in this series.
Farhan Akhtar has said that working on the superhero OTT series ‘Miss Marvel’ was a wonderful experience for him and that people enjoy superhero movies, but Hindi film heroes have been doing what superheroes do for a long time. Farhan, known for hits like ‘Dil Chahta Hai’, ‘Lakshya’ and ‘Don’, said: “You see our heroes killing people and throwing them up in the air.”
He was speaking during a conversation with Farhand The Russo Brothers, who were in Mumbai to promote their action movie ‘The Gray Man’ for Netflix.
Bollywood has seen some success lately, as it faces stiff competition at the box office from superhero movies and South Indian content. Farhan (who also runs production company Excel Entertainment along with Ritesh Sidhwani) said Hindi films may not have big budgets to compete with Hollywood content, but the industry as a whole needs to prepare.
