Ayan Mukerji’s ‘Brahmastra’ is shaking up the box office and fans are giving it lots of love. But a mixed reaction is taking place about the film’s content. Recently, TV actress Erica Fernandes hosted an Ask Me Anything session, where she was asked if she had seen ‘Brahmastra’ starring Ranbir Kapoor and Alia Bhatt in the lead roles.
In response, Erica praised the visual effects, but said that she wished there was training for this type of filmmaking, as Ayaan had previously only done romantic films. In response to her fan, Erica wrote on her Instagram stories: ‘Yes I saw it. It was a very good attempt but it was unsuccessful. It was a VFX-based movie that was done beautifully. But I wish there was more effort to train actors for this type of film and that it was directed by a director whose specialty is only romance.”
He further added, “Still, this is a small step to make things bigger and better in Bollywood as well. Everyone learns from their mistakes and I hope something good will come out of it.” Erica Fernandes concluded by saying that this is my opinion because clearly everyone deserves one.
Brahmastra Part One: Shiva, which also stars Amitabh Bachchan, Mouni Roy, Nagarjuna and Shah Rukh Khan in an extended cameo, has broken the Rs 225 crore mark worldwide. The film is the first installment in Ayan Mukerji’s ‘Estraverse’ and follows the story of a DJ named Shiva who discovers that he has special powers.
