Reflexes

  • Three day test between India and England completed
  • The Indian team has maintained a very strong control in the match.
  • If Team India wins the session on day four, victory will also be confirmed.

ENG vs IND Test Match 5: This is the fifth and final match of the Test series to be played between India and England. Three days have been played so far and the Indian team has tightened its grip on the match. Now the Indian team will have to keep their eyes on day four as well, so that the match can bear their name. The India team will try to score big in their second innings, so England have no chance of winning. Anyway, in the series, India team is leading by winning two matches, this way there is every chance to win the series.

Cheteshwar Pujara and Rishabh Pant in the fold at the end of the third day play

By the time play on the third day ended, the Indian team had scored 125 runs for the loss of three wickets. Cheteshwar Pujara and Rishabh Pant remain in the fold. India’s total lead is now 257 runs. The Indian team will try to score at least 150 runs in the second innings from here, so a target of 400 runs is set for England to win. Pursuing such a big goal is not going to be easy. Speaking of England innings though, in the second session of day three, Jonny Bairstow along with Sam Billings worked to strengthen England’s innings. Jonny Bairstow completed his fifth century this year, while this is his third Test century in a row. Even after this, the Indian team took a 132-run lead over England on an early innings basis.

Shubman Gill and Virat Kohli also failed in the second inning.

When Team India came out to bat in the second inning, they soon got hit first. Starting pitcher Shubman Gill missed once again and was soon fired and returned to the pavilion. In the second inning, Shubman Gill could only score four runs. He was fired by Jimmy Anderson. Hanuma Vihari, who came after this, could not do anything special and left after scoring 11 runs. It was expected that at least in this inning, former captain Virat Kohli would definitely play a great inning. He made some good coverage drives as soon as he got there, but couldn’t do much else in this inning. Kohli played a 20-run, 40-ball inning and got out. He was made the victim of it by Captain Ben Stokes. The India team will try to get the big score today and lead England to bat and take some wickets today, so that the match can be won on the last and fifth match days.
