Elon Musk steps down as Twitter CEO

Elon Musk announces via Twitter that he will probably remain CEO of Twitter for just under six weeks. After that, he is planned to continue as chairman of the board and head of the technology department. With this, he seems to be the one who for one helicopter view must ensure and monitor the overall strategy and development of the platform. Musk reports that he has already found a new CEO for Twitter.

Big change?

Not much will change within Twitter with this changing of the guard. Ultimately, Elon Musk is and will remain the big boss. Even if he’s not officially in the “CEO” seat, he’ll be the one holding sway. The only thing that may change now is that Musk is focusing more on the development of the platform.

During his time as CEO, Musk has already caused several controversies in a short time. For example, by changing the Twitter logo on the website to that of Dogecoin.

Elon Musk and Dogecoin

Speaking of Dogecoin, that’s probably a point where the community is behind the memecoin a lot more than expected in recent months. In the early days, fans had high expectations of the combination of Musk, Twitter and Dogecoin, but now little seems to be left of that.

The billionaire sometimes makes himself heard in this area, for example by adjusting the logo, but there are no real concrete applications to be found. In that respect, the dogecoin community is still waiting. Furthermore, it is of course also questionable whether Musk has big plans for dogecoin at all.
