The 2025 Formula 1 season is heading to Austin, Texas, in October for the United States Grand Prix, with championship battles intensifying and a new virtual preview enhancing fan engagement.
The 19th round of the championship will take place at the Circuit of the Americas (COTA) from October 17-19.
McLaren currently leads the constructors’ standings with 650 points, significantly ahead of Mercedes, which holds 325 points, and Ferrari with 298 points.
In the drivers’ championship, Oscar Piastri maintains the lead with 336 points, closely followed by his McLaren teammate Lando Norris, who has 314 points.
Red Bull’s Max Verstappen is third with 273 points, while George Russell holds 237 points, and Charles Leclerc has 173 points.
COTA is a favorite among drivers and fans, known for its demanding layout featuring a mix of high-speed corners, significant elevation changes, and long straights designed for intense overtaking. Its iconic first turn, an aggressive uphill left-hand climb, is a highlight of modern Formula 1 circuits.
Ahead of the race, EA SPORTS F1 25 is offering players a “HOT LAP” preview of the Austin track.
This virtual experience aims to capture the circuit’s aggressive flow, precise braking zones, and rapid direction changes with absolute realism, mirroring the challenge real-world drivers face.
The United States Grand Prix weekend schedule, all times U.S. Central Time, includes Free Practice 1 at 6:30 PM and Sprint Qualifying at 10:30 PM on Friday, October 17.
