Actor Dulquer Salmaan’s upcoming film, ‘Kaantha’, is set for a worldwide theatrical release. The highly anticipated movie will premiere this November.
Makers have officially announced November 14 as the global release date for ‘Kaantha’. The announcement coincided with the festive occasion of Diwali.
The news was shared via a motion poster on the film’s official X (formerly Twitter) account. The post declared, “Diwali just got a whole lot more explosive! #Kaantha will be lighting up theatres worldwide from NOVEMBER 14th!”
The production teams extended Diwali wishes to fans in their announcement.

The film features Dulquer Salmaan in the lead role. Samuthirakani plays Aiyya, Salmaan’s character’s father. Aiyya is depicted as a passionate filmmaker.
Set in the 1950s, the story centers on Aiyya’s ambition to create what is touted as the first South Indian horror film. His intense desire to groom his son into a hero leads to growing conflict between them.
‘Kaantha’ explores the complex layers of their father-son relationship. It also examines the deep passion some individuals hold for cinema. Bhagyashree Borse also stars as the film’s heroine.
The movie is a production of Spirit Media IN and Wayfarer Films.
