The dodgers have not dominated in the first three weeks of the season 2023 of the Big leagues and they have lost seven of the last 10 games. However, Los Angeles players have found the ball frequently in recent games and a clear example of this is Max Muncy.

After a bleak start in which he had just four hits in the first nine games of the season, Muncy looks unrecognizable. From April 10, the Dodgers infielder has connected nine hits and six of them have been home runs.

From that date, Muncy’s averages are .375/.423/.1.125 with a 1.548 OPS after driving in 13 runs, being struck out seven times and only receiving two walks. Dave Roberts, manager of the Dodgers, has rotated the 32-year-old player between positions 3, 4 and 5 in the batting order and has had the most success as a fourth hitter.

Unfortunately, Muncy’s improvement has not translated into wins for the Californians. The Dodgers are 3-4 since April 10.

Major League Baseball home run leaders

Although Muncy has seven home runs, he is not the major league home run leader. The leaders are Pete Alonsoof the New York Mets, and Patrick Wisdomof the Chicago Cubs, with eight each. The Dodgers infielder is tied with Rafael Devers of the Boston Red Sox and the top 5 is closed by Ryan Mountcastle of the Baltimore Orioles with six four-round sticks.
