Novak Djokovic is heading back to Madrid. The Serbian tennis star confirmed heāll attend the 25th Laureus Awards on April 21.
Djokovic has won the Laureus Award for World Sportsman of the Year five times, most recently in 2024.

Djokovic said the Laureus Awards give athletes a rare chance to share experiences and celebrate their mission to use sports to change the world.
This year, Djokovic faces tough competition. Carlos Alcaraz, Armand āMondoā Duplantis, LĆ©on Marchand, Tadej Pogacar, and Max Verstappen are all nominees.

Since winning his fifth Laureus Award, Djokovic won gold at the Paris 2024 Olympics and became the all-time leader in Grand Slam titles with 24.
Other confirmed attendees include Boris Becker, Cafu, LuĆs Figo, Ruud Gullit, Nadia Comaneci, and Steve Redgrave.
The Laureus Academy, consisting of 69 sports legends, chooses the winners from a selection made by over 1,300 international sports media outlets.
