Sean ‘Diddy’ Combs, 55, has been transferred to Fort Dix federal prison in New Jersey. He arrived on Thursday, October 30, to serve the remainder of his four-year sentence.
Details of his new prison life are emerging, including an extensive commissary list obtained by Us Weekly. This list reveals a variety of items available for purchase by inmates.
Combs will have access to a wide selection of candy. Classic chocolates like Snickers are available for $1.50, and Pay Day bars for $1.45. Chocolate-covered peanuts cost $1.60.
Other sweet options include mint strips for $3.65 and root beer barrels for $2.35. Jolly Ranchers are also on offer, priced at $5.10 per pack.
For those craving baked goods, the commissary offers cookies in vanilla, coconut macaroon, strawberry cream, and iced oatmeal flavors. A basic chocolate chip cookie is also available. Prices for cookies range from $1.75 to $2.60.
The Fort Dix commissary also caters to healthier preferences. Inmates can buy unsalted peanuts, granola mix, pickle pouches, Ultra Fit bars, and dates.
A range of junk food is also stocked. This includes BBQ corn chips, pork rinds, Pop-Tarts, beef and cheese sticks, and Doritos.
Inmates can also purchase complete meals. Options include eggplant parmesan for $6.15, stuffed chicken for $10.85, and turkey shawarma for $8.25. Penne pasta is available for $3.05.
Among the more expensive items is a Score 7T tablet for $131. This device allows access to music, games, and email, but it does not connect to the internet. Walking shoes are priced at $52, and headphones cost $36.
Combs was previously held at the Metropolitan Detention Center in Brooklyn. This followed his arrest in September 2024.
He was sentenced to 50 months in prison on October 3. This came after being found guilty in July of two counts of transport for prostitution.
Combs was acquitted of two counts of sex trafficking and one count of conspiracy. He had pleaded not guilty to all charges.
Combs has already served one year of his sentence. He is expected to be released on May 8, 2028, according to the Federal Bureau of Prisons website.
Following his release, Combs will be required to complete five years of supervised release.
FCI Fort Dix is a low-security facility located in New Hanover, New Jersey. It has previously housed notable figures.
Past celebrity inmates include Joe Giudice from The Real Housewives of New Jersey and Martin Shkreli, known as "Pharma Bro."
Despite its low-security designation, the prison has reported instances of inmate violence. Combs’ lawyer, Teny Geragos, had actively sought his client’s transfer to Fort Dix.
Geragos cited "drug abuse issues" and the desire to "maximize family visitation and rehabilitation efforts" in a letter to the judge. The lawyer requested the court strongly recommend the transfer to the Bureau of Prisons.
Combs also submitted a letter requesting clemency before his sentencing. In it, he expressed deep regret for the "hurt and pain" he caused.
He stated, "I take full responsibility for my past mistakes." Combs added that he blames only himself for his current situation and deeply regrets the harm he caused.
