Dhoni enhanced this Chennai Super Kings bowler’s career, player himself revealed

Chennai Super Kings pacemaker Mukesh Choudhary has revealed that his cricket career has had a profound effect on him since he was part of the squad at IPL 2022 along with Chennai franchise captain Mahendra Singh Dhoni and the starter Rituraj Gaikwad. Chaudhary, 26, the leading wicket-taker for Maharashtra in the 2021/22 Vijay Hazare Trophy season, was bought by CSK at the IPL 2022 mega auction for his base price of Rs 20 lakh.

Since then, he’s been great for the fast pitcher, even though his team finished ninth this season. IPL 2022 came out early after playing 13 matches, taking 16 wickets with a best result of 4/46 and a strike rate of 17.

Despite a good performance in the domestic season, Choudhary admitted that he did not expect to be picked by CSK and later got the opportunity to play more than a dozen matches.

Chowdhury told chennaisuperking.com: “I never thought I would play for Chennai Super Kings. When I came to the team, Dhoni patted me on the shoulder, which made me very proud.”

Recently, Choudhary, who was booked as a foreign player for the KFC T20 Max series in Queensland along with Chetan Sakariya, said that he had initially done poorly for CSK, after which Dhoni boosted my confidence. Choudhary said that for the pacemaker in his left arm, the swing is the most powerful weapon in his arsenal.
