Family Endures Ongoing Harassment and Violence
A family residing in the Cóppola neighborhood of Montevideo has been subjected to relentless harassment and intimidation by another family allegedly involved in drug trafficking. The victims have reported these incidents to the authorities over 30 times, yet the situation persists.
Arson Attempt and Ongoing Threats
In a recent incident, a person sprayed fuel through the fence of the victims’ home and set the patio ablaze. Fortunately, the homeowner was able to extinguish the fire before it spread. This is not an isolated event, as the family has been experiencing a pattern of harassment, including insults, broken windows, and threats.
Desperate Plea for Help
In an attempt to draw attention to their plight, the man who made the complaints chained himself in front of the Legislative Palace, demanding action from the Police and Justice. However, his protest was met with further violence, as he was doused with fuel and required medical attention.
Despite the measures in place to prohibit the perpetrators from approaching the victims, the harassment continues. The family remains fearful for their safety and is seeking a resolution to this ongoing nightmare.
