Rumors have recently circulated regarding actress Deepika Padukone’s reaction to the audio teaser for the upcoming film ‘Spirit.’ The Hindi-language film, directed by Sandeep Reddy Vanga and starring Prabhas, had its audio teaser released on Prabhas’s birthday.
The teaser itself sparked controversy for proclaiming Prabhas “India’s biggest superstar.” Social media then picked up on an alleged reaction from Padukone.
However, the purported reaction did not come from Deepika Padukone herself. A tweet attributed to her was actually posted by a fan account. The account, named “Deepika Padukonnee Fan Girl” (@DeepikaPandhuku) on X (formerly Twitter), reshared director Sandeep Reddy Vanga’s post.
The fan page’s caption read, “I am sad but wonderful video Sandeep Reddy and happy birthday #Prabhas sir.” This led to widespread speculation that Padukone was expressing regret over not being part of the film.

Deepika Padukone was originally cast to star opposite Prabhas in ‘Spirit.’ She later withdrew from the project.
Actress Tripti Dimri has since taken over the lead female role. Vivek Oberoi is also confirmed to be part of the cast.
Reports suggest Padukone’s departure was due to demands for an eight-hour workday and associated fees. This reportedly created tension between the actress and the filmmakers.
Director Sandeep Reddy Vanga had previously made veiled comments seemingly aimed at Padukone following her exit. The new audio teaser and the fan-generated buzz have reignited trolling against the actress.
