The clock keeps ticking, but some stories just get better with age. It’s been six whole years since “The Family Man” first landed on screens. This show, starring the amazing Manoj Bajpayee, grabbed everyone’s attention. Now, with a third season on the horizon, it’s a great time to check in with one of its key players. Actor Dalip Tahil, who plays an important part in the series, recently shared his thoughts with Amar Ujala.
Dalip Tahil remembers a time when streaming was just starting out. He confessed that he didn’t know much about this new world called OTT back then. But when he heard the story of “The Family Man,” it clicked. He found it to be a fantastic and gripping tale. His character in this spy thriller also sounded good. So, he said yes to the project without a second thought. He felt the series began with a real sense of honesty, and he truly believed in the script. Plus, getting to work alongside Manoj Bajpayee was a big draw. He also praised directors Raj and DK for how they brought the story to life.
A Rollercoaster of Emotions Before Release
Before the first season came out, there was a lot of worry, Dalip Tahil admitted. But once it premiered, the reaction was incredible. He believes the show hit it big because it felt so real. His character, Kulkarni, acts as Manoj Bajpayee’s boss, Shrikant, in a national security agency. Kulkarni often faces problems because government systems sometimes get in the way of missions. People easily connect with these kinds of real-world struggles. Dalip Tahil sees many layers in Kulkarni’s personality. He is proud that “The Family Man 3” will launch soon. He even hopes for more seasons down the road. Manoj Bajpayee’s Shrikant Tiwari has become a household name. And it’s not just Shrikant; Kulkarni and Sharib Hashmi’s characters are also very popular. Dalip Tahil feels lucky to be part of such a wonderful team.
