Crypto prices fall slightly after a big bounce, cardano rises hard again

Bitcoin (BTC) made a big bounce last night, most altcoins followed, but lagged slightly, with a few exceptions. Bitcoin’s ever-rising dominance since early 2022 shows uncertainty among investors, especially towards riskier assets. The total market capitalization of all cryptocurrencies is nevertheless increasing by 2.4% today to $1.3 trillion.

Ethereum up 2.4%

Ethereum (ETH) yesterday, like bitcoin, failed to bounce back to the same price as before its decline yesterday. The ether price was already rejected at $1,850 and then started to fall, but less hard than bitcoin. ETH briefly dipped below USD 1,800 early this morning but currently appears to be stabilizing just above USD 1,800. This means that ETH is up 2.4% today.

SOL, DOT, TRX, SHIB, DOGE again at the same price

Solana (SOL) lags somewhat behind today. SOL first dipped below $38 yesterday before rallying and then was rejected at $41. SOL is currently falling to $39.3, putting the price 0.3% in the red.

Polkadot (DOT) did not go beyond $9.45 last night and slipped back to $9.1 this morning, bringing the price back to the same price as 24 hours ago. Tron (TRX) took a big plunge this morning, then recovered to $0.081, also the same price it was 24 hours ago. Shiba inu (SHIB) has remained somewhat more stable and is currently pushing towards $0.0000107, again the same price it was 24 hours ago. Dogecoin (DOGE) is slightly above its price of yesterday at $0.081, if only slightly.

XRP, AVAX, BNB in the plus

Ripple (XRP) rose sharply last night, touching $0.416, before falling back to $0.4 this morning. Still, XRP is 1.8% in the plus. Avalanche (AVAX) peaked at $25.7 last night and is now at $24.6 this morning, bringing the price up 2.8%. Binance coin (BNB) fell sharply the day before yesterday and admittedly rose less strongly yesterday, but the price held up stronger last night. BNB is also up 2.8% and currently stands at $292.

ADA only major crypto that is rising fast

Cardano (ADA), on the other hand, is up a staggering 8.2% today and currently stands at $0.637. It looks like the hype about an upcoming ‘Vasil’ hard fork starts to catch on. We saw that happen last summer, although the price is not rising nearly as fast at the moment. However, it was a so-called “buy the rumour, sell the news” effect, so keep that in mind.

Crypto top 100 hardest risers and fallers

Then we have even more races from the top 100 green colors. Algorand (ALGO) and ftx (FTT) are both up about 6% today. Arweave (AR) and stepn (GMT) are up 7%. Neo (NEO) and decred (DCR) are already up 8%. Chainlink was up nearly 9% and theta (THETA) is the big winner out of the top 100 today, up more than 10%.

On the other hand, radix (RDX) and internet computer (ICP) are down 2% today. Gala and Elrond (EGLD) are about 3% in the red. Ecash (SEC) was up 4% and tezos (XTZ) up 5%. Terra luna classic (LUNC) continues to fall and is again 15% in the red today.
