
Dubai: The government of the United Arab Emirates has lifted the ban on face masks in some public places.
According to Arab media reports, the UAE government has announced relaxation of regulations regarding the wearing of face masks by citizens in some public places.
The Ministry of Health said in a statement on Wednesday that “exercise, face masks are not mandatory for those sitting on the beach.”
According to the announcement, those who go alone or with their families in a private car can also walk around without a face mask, while masks are not mandatory in barber shops etc.
According to the Ministry of Health, the decision to ease the ban on face masks was taken after a 60% reduction in cases.
According to the Gulf Times, 318 new cases of corona have been reported in the UAE in the last 24 hours, with 380 patients recovering and two dying.
According to the report, 19.5 million citizens have been vaccinated against coronavirus so far, out of which 8,070,000 have been vaccinated with both doses.
