Córdoba streamlines contract renewal and signing process with accelerated machinery

Córdoba’s CEO Reveals Club’s Future Plans After Promotion to Second Division

Córdoba’s CEO, Antonio Fernandez Monterrubio, held a press conference on Friday to discuss the club’s season, which ended with promotion to the Second Division. The press conference provided insight into the club’s future plans, both on and off the pitch.

One of the key points discussed was the lifting of the FIFA sanction imposed on the club due to a debt to Aston Villa of Colombia. The debt, which ranged from 80,000 to 100,000 euros, was lifted due to an administrative error and will now be claimed from the previous CEO, Javier González Calvo.

Monterrubio also announced that the club is set to sign new players, with several deals already in advanced stages. He expressed optimism about the continuity of players such as Calderón and Diarra, and the possibility of a new loan deal for Álex Sala. The CEO also confirmed the renewal of Carlos Marín’s contract for two seasons and the likelihood of Kuki Zalazar signing a new deal.

Additionally, Monterrubio announced that the club will continue to work with sports advisor César Sánchez, a former player of Valladolid and Real Madrid. The committee, which will include Juan Gutiérrez ‘Juanito’, Raúl Cámara, Javi Flores, and Monterrubio himself, will be responsible for making key decisions for the club.

However, the CEO did reveal that Dragisa Gudelj will not be part of the staff, as he is still on medical leave and may process a permanent work disability. Christian Delgado, who finished the season on loan at Numancia, is also not a priority for the club.

The CEO also discussed the emotional charge of the promotion, stating that if not for the 23 heroes of the achievement, the team would not have been renewed.

Stadium Update

Monterrubio announced that the club is likely to transfer the El Arcángel Stadium for four years, ending a precarious use since its construction in the mid-90s. The CEO set July 15 as the possible start date for the pre-season and around the 20th for the season ticket campaign, pending the audit and update of LaLiga’s turnstiles and systems.

The CEO did not seem particularly worried about the salary limit that LaLiga will set for the club, which will increase from July to August 31 as income is confirmed.
